A book along the lines of runnung with scissors or the glass castle? I'm in the mood to read a book with a disturbing plot. TIA

I've yet to read the two that you mentioned but have you read 'A Boy Named It'? If not it might be along the lines you are looking for.

Another great author is David Sedaris! He is oneof my favorite and definitely definitely twisted! Dress Your Family in Courdoroy (I butchered that) and Denim....and tons of other ones are fabulous!

The Memory Keepers Daughter. My Mom read that and said that it was good and upsetting at the same time. It is next on my list to read. Also, She's Come Undone. Another great book but disturbing too.

I second the above reccommendations...

Also- My Sister's Keeper and The Pact by Jodi Picoult are great!

Also--Augusten Burroughs' other books- Magical Thinking and Dry were both pretty good.
