Re: Can anyone recommend a deacon??
I don't know that he goes outside of his parish, but we were married by Deacon Fred at St John the Baptist in Wading River. Truly a wonderful man - he's a retired cop and 'bent the rules' for us on a couple of accounts because, as he said, he spent so many years seeing awful things on the police force, now he has the chance to make wonderful things happen

We were married by Deacon Stamm at St. Agnes in RVC. He was great. I don't know if he'd do a wedding outside the parish though.
