I've heard good things about Christie's and so-so about Studio Z.
One of my BMs is going to Christie's instead of having the woman at my house do her up - so that should be a good place!

Christie's is good - but way too expensive in my opinion.

I go to Intercession Salon on Francis Lewis Blvd. Ask for Stella or Sandra, they are awesome!

I like Christie's also. I used to go to Intersesion on the rec of a friend, but the woman who cut my hair left, so I switched to Christie's. The woman who always cuts my hair is Tina, and she always trims the amount I want, and not more (had a bad experience with a woman who didn't know English very well, and before I knew it I had bangs! Never again!). Christie's is pricey but worth it to me.

Thanks girls! It's actually for my future mother in law. I am having such a hard time finding someone to come and do her hair and makeup the day of the wedding, so I'm going to have her go to Christies.
I called a little while ago and made an appt.

I went to Christie's for years. My old roomate used to work there. They are a great salon, but they dont treat their customers very nicely. If you can deal with the attitude (& are willing to pay their prices) I would say go there. recently I've been going to Lori at Salon De Ja Vu on Francis Lewis. It is much smaller and they are really nice.

I went there a couple of times and I couldn't deal with the attitude and I wouldn't mind the prices if I didn't have to tell the stylist to cut the bangs too. I would pay more for a good hair cut with good service.
I'll have to check out Salon De Ja Vu - I am in the market for a new salon. Would you recommend a particular stylist?
