Can anyone recommend a lawyer (specializing in home mortgages)?

Yes guys...we found a house over the weekend --> made an offer --> offer was accepted ---> and the most important part is the house is structurally sound So we need to find a lawyer so we can start the buying process. We were told that they should specialize in mortgages/homes, etc. so the process goes more quickly. Can anyone recommend a laywer? TIA

...and yes I'm totally excited again!!!!

ETA some details: I actually think getting the other house was for the best because we won't be as far out east. We found a beautiful ranch in West Islip!!!!!

Well I used a lawyer in astoria but don't know if that is too far from you

Congatulations. My fh is a mortgage broker and he works in conjunction w/ lawyers. I don't know if you have a mortgage broker yet. But if you need one fm me and I will give you info.
