Thanks, Claud! Dr. Brock was referred to me by my Ped., I'm just hoping to get a personal reference on him or any other ped urologist/surgeon.

It looks like my baby will need surgery. We were praying for a miracle by the time he turned 6 months, but today was the inevitable... I knew we'd have to go this route, but I prayed that we wouldn't.

Without getting too specific right now (we'll have more info. next month after we see the urologist), his 'problem', in the grand scheme of things, is minor. (thank you, God)

Anyway, he's my baby, so to me, it's the biggest thing in the world. As his mommy, I kind of feel like I failed him in some way...

Sigh.

On a lighter note, he's perfectly healthy in every other way. We really are blessed.

Thanks to the ladies who sent me FMs. It's been said a million times here, but there truly is an incredible group of women on this site.

I will ask around for a pediatric urologist, I know Alberto Penya is world renowed anorectal surgeon out of Schnieder's Children's Hospital and Dr Andrew Hong is a fantastic pediatric surgeon, perhaps you could call there office for a referral for a pediatric urologist... I will ask around

No matter what the problem is, YOU did NOT fail that baby. You are an amazing mom, and that is obvious.

As for the failing part, can I smack you now?? YOU DID NOT FAIL YOUR BABY!!! YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE AT ALL!!!! You are A WONDERFUL MOTHER AND SEAN IS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE YOU AS HIS MOMMY!!!

Kathi, my son needed surgery by a pediatric urologist. WE used Dr. Brock's practice. Brock is semi-retired and we saw Dr. Palmer. Lucas has hypospadias and the surgery was a great success. That man is wonderful and highly recommended. Feel free to e-mail me if you like at ritajkim @ aol.com
