can anyone recommend a photographer? I can only spend no more than 1500

I need a photographer that will come to nyc. maybe up to five hours that does mix of photojournalism and traditional. all negatives. i can only spend up to 1500. thanks.

I just got an email from this guy- he said his starting package is only 795. His pics on the website looked good too. If I hadn't booked with Duet, I may have checked him out.

Nadine Graham a/k/a nsgraham had a wonderful budget vendors web page -- do a search on her and FM -- she is a remarkable resource and super super nice to boot.

Try Twelfth Night - I think you can get two photographers for up to five hours, all proofs and negatives in your price range.

Check out DUET. Do a search for 'The Official DUET Photography Thread'

They have a NYC office too on their website. www.duetwedding.com (I think).

You might also want to try Duval in Wantagh. They were pretty inexpensive. I don't remember the exact quote they gave me but it was around $2500. I'm sure they can work with you around your budget.

I don't think Duet would be within that price range. Pretty much the cheapest, bare bones package is $2500.
