Can anyone recommend - or is anyone - a Financial Planner?
Now that we have a nice chunk of money in the bank from the wedding - we'd like to do something with it. DH and I are clueless with this stuff so we'd need someone low-key whose willing to expain stuff step-by-step to some amateurs. Nassau County please. Thanks!

I used to work for an investment firm that I can recommend some people at--but it's in Melville. If you're interested, just FM me and I'll give you their #, website, etc.

My Dh and I just started with a financial advisor. We're using the company Prime America and the woman's name is Margaret. We're putting around 500/month in mutual funds. They're not agressive because I don't want to lose money like that. You have complete access to it and can change the amount if you're not comfortable.
I don't know how many times I heard people say...If I starting saving money when I was your age....
Well we're starting now so we can afford LI... It's Sooooo expensive.
