Hey ladies - so last May when I went to the florist (for my June 09 wedding) I really had no clue what I was doing...I'm going with Pedestals and loved the choices they came up with so I'm good with the flowers for me and the CP but certain things I've changed my mind on and we've added some extra people and tables that will change amounts...will the florist hold me to the set price we agreed on (I've only put a deposit down but do have a contract with that total listed) or do they ever allow you to adjust downward? For instance, I no longer think it necessary to spend $300 on altar flowers at the church....that sort of thing....anybody have any experience with this? Thanks for any input.

Re: Can I adjust the price of my florist?
I'm pretty sure that when you go for your month prior meeting, that's when everything is finalized. It is listed on your preliminary contract as a guideline...the deposit is really just to hold the date. This was at least what my florist told me.

Yea i head the same thing the contract you did with them whats on it is a guideline you make your final decision a month before they know you will change your mind.

Re: Can I adjust the price of my florist?
i did the SAME THING with Pedestals and was wondering the same thing! i am going to tell them we don't need half of what we contracted for and we need to reduce the price accordingly. i dont think they can hold us to the entire amount because the list of what we're getting isn't on the final contact - it's just a number, which doesn't really mean anything
i am definitely going to cut down on what i originally thought i needed and i am sure they will be fine with it

Re: Can I adjust the price of my florist?
I'm working with Pedestals, and i'm under the impression that i can change the order until the final flowers are ordered, then i'm held to it.
