can i ask?

i posted some invitation wording yesterday and most girls responded that they liked 'request the honor of your presence as they are united in marriage.'

can i ask why? i'm just curious

personally, if my parents were paying for my wedding, i probably would have opted for that super traditional wording

i chose this because i just loved the way it sounds

agreed.. i was just wondering why people liked this more than the other.

personally I preferred this over the other one because it was shorter. It was short and sweet and to the point

I would have liked the other one without the 'exchange their vows'

It is a very traditional way of wording it.
