Can I ask a dumb question......(TWOTY-related)

What exactly is 'The Wedding of The Year'....what's the purpose of it? Can someone explain this to me

Its really a big GTG for all LIW people - its a mock wedding and showcases different vendors.

ohhhhh ok, so it's basically a showcase for vendors w/ a reception going on at the same time....

Well - kind of. Its not like the showcases you usually go to where they have tables set up - but there will be different vendors for each thing - flowers, photo, video, hair, makeup, etc.

The deadline to enter to be a Maid of Honor at The Wedding of the Year is today but we haven't even begun to sell tickets so you did not miss out. Tickets will be on sale next week.

im still so confused

Basically its a mock wedding-with all the same things going on as in a real wedding....you get to party like at a wedding but LIW vendors do the flowers, DJ etc. so you get to actually see final products from the vendor.
I didnt go last year but I heard everyone had a great time!
