Why don't you add the other set you like? Then after your shower,you can take back the other set you decided not to have. You don't want to delete it now since people have already started buying it.

I would change it now before any more is bought off the registry. Why should you have to lug back 12 place settings? After your shower you can return the other two place settings and get the one you really want with the rest of the set, or exchange them for the matching pieces.

I think you should just add the new set, the people that already purchased the others may be feel bothered by that - just my opinion. On the other hand, If you do that you make only be able to get a store credit only - and it may be a large one - so you would want to make sure you could use it (you may not want anything else from that store) even if everything off registry was already bought.

Personally, I don't think you should change your registry after someone has bought them. They are going to feel horrible at your shower because they might not check your registry again after buying you a gift and not realize you changed your mind. And if I was the person who bought you a gift, I would not want to have to return it and buy you a new one. Just return it after the shower.

I would wait until after your shower and just exchange everything for the new pattern that you want.

If 10 out of the 12 were already purchased, I would just wait until after you get them at your shower and exchange. You probably won't even be able to take it off your registry now because they were purchased (mine did this to me..). Who cares..you'll have fun exchanging!

I would take the completer sets and other extras off your list now so no one buys them and then exchange everything after the shower.

I would take all the completer sets off, and if you want change the completer sets to the new pattern you want..

Honestly, I don't think I would register for new stuff until after the shower. You will probably get the new pattern at your shower as well and the people that purchased the place settings already will feel really bad since they got something you dont want. (jmo)

Yes - don't make anyone feel bad at the shower. I wonder if you should even write a note with a pic of the new china? I always buy off registries and really just want the person to have something they will be happy with so I don't mind if they switched the china. I didn't like the friend who said she had everything and registered for things with the sole intention that she could return for cash. Gross.
