I know I should probably go for more than one makeup trial, and I haven't even tried airbrush makeup, but I'm thinking maybe I should just stick with the makeup in the pic below (MAC counter) and put another check in the done column. It became apparent that there's NO WAY I could do my makeup myself and have it look good in pictures - I just don't have the kind of patience to put on multilple layers of foundation in 3 colors. I'm not a makeup wearer generally, and I really hate this part of the process. (Top pic is outdoors, facing the sun, bottom is inside in regular light.)

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
I think you look pretty. However I would suggest a lighter shade of lipstick or maybe some more color on your cheeks that may tone down the lips. I think the deep darkness of the red makes you look a little pale.

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
Thanks for looking - I thought the lipstick ended up a little dark. These are pics after 4 hours of wear, and the lipstick was more red than wine when she put it on.....Does all lipstick do that, or just the stain/gloss combination stuff? I don't remember this happening with my Colorstay. I didn't have this picture with me when I went, but it's closer to the color I'm looking for, I think.

I think she did a great job. Enough so that anything you may have a problem with or want to lighten or darken, she will be able to do. She is obviously talented and you look great!

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
I think it looks nice. I don't love the lipstick either though. I would try a different color, or darken up your eyes to balance it out more, like in the picture you posted.

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
I think the quality of the pictures makes it a little hard to tell - the first pic looks too bright so your face looks washed out and lips too dark. In the second pic, it doesn't look like you're wearing much makeup at all besides the lips. So it really might just be the flash or lack of flash in the pics.
I agree about the lipstick being too dark and too deep. I would add some color to your eyes and cheeks.

I think you could use a little more blush and a slightly lighter shade of lipstick. Otherwise I think you look great!!

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
I agree with the lighter lipstick. It'll read black in black and white photos. I'm a big fan of red and b/c my dress has a vintage feel, I plan to do a very sheer red...but more of a berry tone than true red.

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
I agree.. i think more color is needed on the cheeks.. and a lighter lipstick.. you should try to bring attention to ur eyes.. u have really pretty eyes. other then that I love it.. and the eye make up is wonderfull

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
I will be honest. You are a beautiful girl, but I do not care for the make up and the way it was applied in this picture. If you are going to pay for a professional to do your makeup it should really look polished and it should make your skin look flawless. I just feel like this looks 'too made up'.
Maybe it is just the photos - but I think you could do better!

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
I agree with the 'you can get better make-up' comment.
Like others, I think the make-up artist used too dark of a lipstick, and not enough bronzer and blush... You may even need a hair more emphasis on the eye make-up, although that may just be the way the pics were taken....
just go for another trial, I'm sure it will improve

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
Go with your gut girl! If you feel like you should get a second trial -DO IT! I know with all of the stuff we need to do before the big day everything becomes a series of 'check' marks and sometimes its easier to check it off even though we may not be totally happy.
I agree with the girls here. I really like your eye make-up but I feel that the lipstick takes away from your beautiful face rather than enhance it which is what make up was meant to do.
Believe me, I wasn't totally thrilled w/ my first trial and went back for a 2nd and LOVED IT. I hope you do too. Good Luck! HTH!

Re: Can I get a little objectivity?
I think you can def. pull it off. Def. a lighter shade of lipstick..and maybe some fake lashes would help your eyes pop out m ore...other then that I think it looks great
