To make a long story short, my future FIL told us that he was 'friends' with someone at MV Limos and that he could get us a good deal on a package. He also offered to pay for the limos, as long as we went with his friends company. I had never heard anything about them and took my future FIL recommendation on them and allowed him to book them for us. I signed a contract and future FIL paid IN FULL on his credit card. Now, after being on this site for a little while I have seen a TON of bad reviews for this company. My question is can I get out of the contract and get the money back? TIA!

Re: Can I get out of a contract?
You should read the disclaimers and all of the 'small print' of your contract.
Good Luck

If your FIL is friends with them, tell him to let them know you decided not to use limos!

Re: Can I get out of a contract?
they may do a better job, if they are friends with your FIL......... but if you are really uncomfortable using them.. you may need to have FIL call them and say that his son and fiance booked someone else.........maybe being friends.... will help him get out of the contract...but otherwise.... you would usually lose what you put down to hold the date.

Have you only seen bad reviews? If they were bad for others, it does not mean they will be the same for you.

Thanks for the advise everyone. I am going to check the contract and also have FIL speak to his friend and address all of my concerns. Thanks again!

Re: Can I get out of a contract?
you should also check you vendors on the better business bureau too. I was doing that before booking my vendors. I know that i looked up M&V limos before booking mine and they had dozens of complaints on there. sorry you are having this problem...

Yes, they have some bad reviews, but if it is FFIL's friend, then they should be fine. Don't worry

check the contract. Sometimes when they are paid in full they take 10%-20%
