Can I get some opinions please?

I am planning my beach wedding. I want everything to be unique and truly us. My fiance suggested having a calypso band instead of a dj. That's not really us! But he swears if I hear a good band that I would love it. He also said it really goes with the theme. Has anyone ever been to or had this type of band? He said we could even do the band during the dinner part and have a dj for the rest. I am so unsure. What do you ladies think?

I think it would be great for your cocktail hour and during dinner (but still have a DJ too) and there are some amazing bands!!! I know a lot of girls have had some great steel drum bands too. You can always hear them first to make sure, but I htink it would be really nice

Me too...if you can have a calypso or steel drum band during cocktail hour and also get a dj that would be wonderful. I was just at a party with a steel drum band...I LOVED IT!

I have a GREAT Steel pan player..hes in teh band Port of Spain..but plays seprately for weddings..hes GREAT!!! Hes doing our wedding..if you want his infor Fm me. I saw him sat night at teh Steel Pan competition in Brooklyn, his band was there..man he can play!!!
