I just got engaged on Xmas Eve and FH said the same thing 'I'll never do it on a holiday' so I was definitely surprised.

I had surgery on 12/14 so it limited him on how to ask me. We were going to see the tree as well but I can't walk for long periods of time and then the night he originally had planned I fell asleep from pain meds.


The girls on here are SO helpful. FH and I have made a preliminary guest list and we've came up w/ a reasonable budget.

We have our guest list (kinda) lol...still working on that..and we have a few visits scheduled but nothing is definite yet, not even the date! We keep going back and forth about it.
How about you guys?

As of right now we want Spring 2012. I'm absolutely in LOOOVE with The Royalton so I'm going to make an appt. and try and get down there next weekend.

I've read on here that some girls get in about 5 RH's a day. We are going to narrow down 5 in Nassau and 5 in Suffolk and hopefully find one that we can both agree on.

If we do spring I've narrowed down my colors, I looove lavendar so we'll see.

Wow! 5 in one day huh??? I guess if each appointment takes about about an hour at the most, you can really just make a day of it, and narrow options (or try to) faster! I already made some appointments (carlyle, metropolitan, and inn at new hyde park) for three separate days but maybe i'll try to arrange to do them in one day..if FH is up to it

Lavender is pretty!! There was a color I saw a while back called Victorian that I really loved. Kinda like a lavender/gray combo.

I'm thinking shades of brown...espresso/and a lighter color so my MOH and BMs can be different.

I have 2 sisters who are married already so I'm making them both my Matrons of Honor and I wanted to put them both in a shade darker then lavender or a shade lighter then put my other bm's in a shade darker or vica versa.


Let me know how The Metropolitan is, that place looks beautiful as well, I was just on their website.
