Can I make this idea possible?

I have seen this on the knot & thought it was a great idea but not sure how to display it.

I want to include in the invitations that I want to acknowledge married & engaged couples at our wedding & was going to ask people to mail back a 4 x 6 or smaller picture of their wedding day & I wanted to display it in the lobby at the RH. These are the pics they have on the knot.... does anyone have any other ideas?

I think this is a fantastic idea! I like the layout of the first picture better, but I like that it says 'LOVE' in the 2nd one.

We did something *similar* at our wedding. My mother and aunt had made a black and white damask room divider. It was gorgeous. On the two side leaves we had the escort cards hanging and on the middle leaf we had framed all different family wedding photos- our grandparents, parents, and aunts/uncles. It was really beautiful and everyone loved lookiing at the photos while they picked up their escort cards. This was first displayed in CH and then moved to right outside the reception room after CH was done.

I don't have the greatest photos of it, but here's the idea....

ETA: We had more on the table in front of the divider which had the guest book on it.

Another very cute idea I have seen is where the escort cards are actually a wedding picture or couple picture of them. Super cute!

How do I go about doing the first one? Where would I hang these pictures from? How would I post the pictures? I love the idea too

It looks simple enough to make. You'd probably have to make something yourself though to hang them from, maybe with some MDF board from home depot, maybe attach three together with hinges so it all folds for storage and can open up with the angles for support, wrap each in fabric and attach the frames with the ribbon.

You could also look into getting a few photo collage frames and just putting those out on your table where your escort cards would be with everyone's pics in them. May be easier and you can use the frames when you are done for all your wedding day pictures!

a little spin off

my gf did something very similar, she put inserts in the invites for the married couples asking to mail or email a wedding photo, she did 5x7 or smaller

and she had the photos displayed on a table during CH and all around the room at CH, on ledges, at the bar, etc.

people really enjoyed walking around the room seeing the pics, i believe she also put a small card next to the pic, saying who it was and what year

I think you could probably have the hall lend you a room divider, i know NRC has them they use them to block the kitchen in the ballroom

and then have your florist drape it in fabric and hang the pictures from it like in the first pic, if thats the look you want from it

I think it's a great idea. A good way to foster cooperation may also be to have something in the shower invitation asking every woman to bring her wedding photo/pic of her and her guy. I feel like people get lazy about mailing things but have become accustomed to weird/quirky requests at showers lol.
