Can I really do this

Can I really do this

My FH & I were planning our wedding for November for over a year. 2 weeks ago we decided to cancel our black tie preferred, Saturday Night elegant wedding and have our wedding in 2 wks (excatly 30 days from then) in an ocean front venue on Dune Rd. The feel is now beach chic w/ a formal flair.

We mailed out invitations, requesting that guest respond by 8/20. Last week I e-mailed/ facebooked guest, letting them know that I needed to know if they could or could not attend the wedding by Saturday 8/27, and if I didn't hear from them I would assume they are not coming.

Out of 200 invited guest, I am still waiting to hear from 30 people

I understand I didn't give them alot of time, but I need to keep moving to get all the planning done on time, and still stay on schedule.

Can I work on my seating chart & plan for them NOT to attend.

We are bringing EVERYTHING in to this private oceanfront venue, from meals, to chairs, glasses, dinnerware.

If I count them out now, someone (most likely my coordnaitor would have to turn them away at the door, since we will not be prepared for them...

So I am finalizing my seating chart then... I'm going to do my place cards.. If they haven't responded by now, - o-well.

So my seating arrangements are done, if someone intended to attend, they should have told us by now, it's 10 days after the rsvp date

i would be careful with this, i always think its bette to over estimate then under... ESPECIALLY w an off premise venue. The caterers are going to be scrambling to put things together and , god forbid people do show up, and you dont have anything for them, it would be uncomfortable and stressful for you.
