i'm registering for a digital camera too (sony DSC-P92). Wanted to register for a camcorder but they don't have the one we want (Target.)
where did you register for the camera?

Target has I-pod's now....and Im already registered there, they have digital cameras too but not the greatest...
What about the discount? someone please tell me

Most stores offer a discount to the bride and groom (usually 10%) off anything that wasnt purchased off your registry. Check with the places that you registered at. Most of them give you a 6 month to a year to purchase (some of them only give a one shot deal - but I think at macys you can go back as many times as you want after the weddings and get 10% off off anything on the registry & you can use gift cards too.) The catch is that you only get the discount off stuff on the registry, so I say register for anything you want and then get the discount if it is not bought for you

We are doing a Best Buy registry as well. A TV, digital camera, and other electronics. My FI is really excited about that.
So I think it's ok to register for an IPOD.
Come to think of it, I may just add that to the list as well.

ETA: Bloomingdale's has an electronic dept?

At least I'll get the discount if no one buys it!

If people can register for their guests to pay thier mortgage, you should certainly be able to register for an I-pod!

I hope you know people that have that camera. Make sure you do your research on any such purchase. My fiancee got me the Canon G5 for my bday and xmas. I love the pics we have taken with it. Look at all the options and makes sure you would actually use them.

i don't KNOW anyone with the camera, but trust me.... we've done the research.
We actually want the new Canon Elph(410) but they don't have it out yet.

if you are into to ditigal and want camcorder at same time, look into DV Camorder/Camera. I brought mine a long time ago (4yrs) and it's still holding it's own. You can edit movies on computer then burn on to dvd. there are just as must as cameras and camorders by it's self

DM - just checked with target and they do not have a registry completion program. So far they are on the only store ive researched that didnt - which means that they dont give you a % off after the wedding when you purchase things off your registry
