Can I see your wedding pics taken in a crowded place?

Can I see your wedding pics taken in a crowded place?

We're thinking of going down to Long Beach (3pm on a sat in June) to take pics on the beach and boardwalk w/ the wedding party. I'm not sure how the pics will be with tons of people in the background.

Do you think this is a bad idea? Can I see your pics if you did something like this? TIA!

Hi Jess,

I don't think this is a bad idea at all. With people in the background it gives the photo a different feeling.

The only thing I would be concerned about, is people walking in front of you guys when the photos are being taken.

Good luck if you choose to do this and sorry I have no pics.

You can find pics like this in the thread of photos brides want to recreate..there's one specifically that comes to mind of a bride and groom on a pier...let me see if I can find it for you.

These are sonicstef's pics...she took pics in Grand Central and in Times Square. You don't get much busier than that! Sonicstef's review & pics

ETA: there are pics on nearly every page of that thread so it's worth it to scroll through the whole thing.

The people in the back isn't what's bothering me it's the confusion that it may cause. W/ parking, and trying to get everything set up in place w/o people coming in between that. Saturday in June in LB is crazy.
But the pic itself I would love

I think it's a great idea!

You're absolutely right about parking, it's a nightmare in June.

I would suggest having the limo drop you off at the boardwalk and then have them 'stationed' a few blocks away. Then you could keep in touch by phone and tell them when you're ready to be picked up.

Also keep in mind that the concentration of people is the worst on National, Edwards, and Riverside Boulevards because it's a straight run to the train station.

I would suggest going to the western end of the boardwalk between Washington, Lindell, Grand, and New York. There is another small boardwalk at the end that goes out on the sand too, that might be an option. But between certain hours, you have to pay $6.00 per person to get onto the sand!

I think that is a great idea as well. People in the background adds a different touch to your photo's and I think it would be very nice.

Jess,

I think this has a lot of the photos you are searching for. This is a bride (going back to 2003) from the Knot, who was an inspiration for me....here's a link to her bio. She was called CarrieOnGrove and I don't think she's even in New York anymore!

Photo below is at Grand Central

Aw, that's so cute!

Jess, I really love those 'busy' shots, totally artistic and photojournalist feel to them!

I love the look of these pictures. The only thing I am thinking about Long Beach on a Sat afternoon in prime beach time (June), is people respecting you and the Photographers? Walking in front of you, making faces behind you, etc...

If I was you, I would defiantly go down all the way to the East or West Ends where it is not so crowded and take them there. That way you will have less of an issue with the crowds.

if you want you can takes pictures by my building- go to the beach at Pacfic and then go left- there is a jetty- but no broadwalk and it's never that crowded
