ok - i have 3 brothers and they are not in the BP- we are not really close, but i am having ALL their kids (my nieces and newphews) in the BP- FH has 2 sisters and we're super close- talk every day so they're IN the BP- I felt bad cause i want my brothers to be a part of the ceremony- so i decided to have them walk me half way down the aisle- then my parents will walk me the other half...... but now i heard from my mom that one of my brothers said he would rather not walk me down- that he feels embarrased to walk down the aisle-
Should I take back this invitation to walk me down to all 3 of them??? i just wanted to include them, i dont want to make them feel weird about doing it-
WHAt should i do>??????

yea but i kinda want it to be a family thing- so if one brother doesnt want to do it- it'll be weird-
i'm not suppossed to know that he said he kinda doesnt wanna do it- my mom was like its your wedding you just tell them what you want and they'll do it....... ugh

FIrst I would just ask anyway, then If your brothers feel weird. Why dont you ask them to be readers?

I wouldn't take it back . . . it's done already . . .but I think you should talk to them . . .just act naive and tell them you want them to be part of your special day and do they feel comfortable walking you down the aisle, if not what other ideas do they have - or would they prefer to not be a part of it.
You are more concerned that you are hurting their feelings by not including them but they may be happy on the sidelines - you need to talk to them about it and see where they really stand. hth

I would say, 'I gave this some thought and although I would love to have you walk me down the aisle, I also understand that it might be a bit uncomfortable for you since it is not traditional. However, I want all three of you to be a part of the ceremony, so if one or two of you would rather do a reading, I am fine with that.'

yea its weird- as i said I'm not that close with them- one of my bro's lives in albany and i havent seen or spoken to him in a YEAR- not that we're fighting, its just how it is...like my parents told him that he was gonna be part of the ceremony and walking me down with my 2 other bro's- i never even asked him!! - which i know is wrong- but we just dont talk- so it would be werider to call him up. i guess i'll ask the other 2- see what they say and then figure out the brother in albany

Can you ask all 3 of them to do something else in the ceremony? Can they bring up the gifts or do a reading? Can they act as ushers?
