Do whatever you want! I can tell you that from working at a catering hall for years, so many more DON'T do it, than do DO it...

just wanted to let you know what i've seen done in lieu of the bouquet/garter toss...

the dj/band asks all married couples onto the dance floor, then he starts asking them to sit down based on how long they've been married (he'll say something like 'all couples married less than 3 hours please sit down, all couples married less than 1 year please sit down, less then 5 year, less than 10, etc).... all the way down the line until you have like one couple left who's been married for like 50 years.. then the bride gives the wife the bouquet (instead of doing the toss) and the couple gives the newlyweds their advice for how to have a long lasting marriage like theirs...

so it's kind of the reverse of the bouquet/garter toss because instead of single people, it's married couples

Yeah! That's what my florist was telling me about..we are going to do that because I'm not into the other stuff and I thought it was a cute way to get the older people involved!!

we are having the whole garter removal with fh and i but as far as the tossing goes i think we are just going to give the bo-k to the maid and the garter to the best man and not have the whole leggy thing . I dont want to see a bunch of people rip the bok apart and fall on the floor and stuff. JMO

I'm not sure if we are doing this. I defintely wouldn't throw my BOK and don't know if I feel like buying one just to have it thrown around. As far as the garter, I never liked the idea of it but if FH wants to do it, I will.

I think you can definitely do what you want, but FH doesn't want to do the garter toss, therefore I'm not doing the bouquet toss. I'm not singling out my single friends if hes not doing it!

we arent doing the garter either, FH hates it! I think hes embarassed by it I think we are going to do the Anniversary dance also! Its different and will get all of the married couples involved instead of the singles who normally are! Thought we'd switch it up a little

Yes, what we are doing is throwing the bouquet but it is open for ALL the WOMEN... single, marrie, dating and etc... after they catch if...FH is giving the garter to the husband, boyfreind or single guy and that is how we are still keeping tradition.

Yup-yup most florists do, and even still if they didn't, I am going to be a excited to be a WIFE (yay!) at the end of the night and probably won't give a cr*p about my bouquet, LOL!
