Can only throw birdseed or use bubbles at church

Any suggestions on what to throw? I'm limited to birdseed but I thought I read somewhere that you can get some bridal stuff that birds will eat. Or maybe I'm making that up? Anyone know anything about that? Thanks for the help!

People are using wands and have everyone shake them instead of throwing things. Or you can ring bells. Do a search maybe you can find other options.

Though birdseed is environmentally friendly, I would be concerned that it would get in every crevice and all over my hair. Something to think about.
