If you notice the date of my wedding, it's the first Saturday after a Tuesday Valentine's Day. Now, the things that I love are all associated with V-day: red roses, chocolate, romantic music, hearts...my wedding is going to unintentionally scream 'Valentine's theme!' Do you think that I should try to open my mind to new flowers, etc. because people will be sick of all of those things by the end of that week? Please vote and comment!

We did our e party on valentines day and had all red roses and chocolates. It was very romantic and everyone loved it.
If you think you would like a variation on the theme (exclude what others might think) then I would think you can still get the 'classic' valentines look without being too generic. A great florist would have the right kind of vision to update the look.

one of my bm's got married last feb 14, and did not have one thing valentiny included.... to tell you the truth we were so disappointed!!!! ofcourse it doesnt have to dictate your decor... but the month/time of year that you are getting married is a great way to come up with 'themes'. I say definitely incorporate it!

I think a Valentine's theme is great....Not only is red roses & chocolates v-day items, they are VERY romantic items. You can't care what others are going to say...You are not going to please everyone at your wedding
