He will be 4 and a half by our wedding date. I don't have a flower girl, just 3 bridesmaids and groomsmen.
Another possibility is having my future sis-in-law to carry her 6 month old while he's holding a pillow. I've seen this before, but the baby's usually a little older.
What do you think?

I've only seen it where the RB walks by himself, is he not supposed to? It's amazing and cool how many different traditions there are (and ways of doing things!).

Re: Can Ring bearers walk by themselves?
My son just did one week from today. If it was a regular aisle Im sure it would have went over much better but he had to walk over two wooden bridges by himself too! No matter what they are always funny. Everyone expects that they are not going to do what theyre supposed to and its cute I would give the 4 1/2 year old a shot. How old will he be at the wedding. At that age I think he would do great!

I think your ringbearer will be fine to walk alone. Mine is about that age as well. A 6 month old, I think either you FSIL should carry him like you said or maybe she can push him/her down the aisle in a stroller while the baby holds the pillow and you could even decorate the stroller if you wanted!

Re: Can Ring bearers walk by themselves?
I plan on having three ring bearers. One will be 4, one will be 5 and the third will be almost 3. Since there will only be one pillow, I am planning on putting the youngest one in the middle holding the pillow and have the two other boys on either side of him. I think he will be more likely to walk down that way if he has buddies to help.
