After I cut the cake, we would toss the bouquet and then toss the garter, but then the bouquet/garter catchers have to dance with each other? I have only been to one wedding and can't remember how it was done there. And if they have to dance with each other, do other couples join them in the slow dance, or can we just play a regular dance music song after the catchings?
I am confused...

I've never seen them dance together.....usually the person who caught the garter buts it on the person who caught the bouquets leg and thats the end of it.

Ok, so then do I have to pick a song for when they put the garter on the girl?
Also, are the songs played during garter toss and bouquet toss played in full, or only snippets until the tosses are done?

You have to pick a song for the tossing of the bouquet and throwing garter. I belive they only play a portion, since the whole thing doesn't take that long. Ask your DJ -- he should have suggestions.

Your maitre di' will coordinate everything. Or ask the banquet manager for more details on the scheduling of the events/tasks.

Our dj told us that he recommends the 'catchers' dance with each other for a little bit if the girl is a 12 year old and the guy is older because it would be inappropriate to have him put the garter on her leg.
