I took Clomid for about 5 months. Basically it was used to try to up my egg count to increase the chance of getting pregnant. I had no side effects at all.
Good luck!!

Re: Can someone explain to me how clomid works?
Thanks Jen! That website is great! How are you feeling?
For those who have taken it- is it taken monthly? Do you ovulate right after you take it?

I am feeling pretty good - some days better than others - but no real complaints here.
I want to hear about your trip - FM me!!

I am on my 2nd month of taking it, I take it days 5-9 of my cycle and then I use the opk sticks to detect when I ovulate. It doesn't make you ovulate any faster, its just supposed to increase the # of eggs dropped.

I only ovulate every 3-6 months. Does it regulate ovulation?

Re: Can someone explain to me how clomid works?
My dr. prescribed clomid b/c I wasn't ovulating on my own. It is suppossed to make you ovulate if you don't already and help with your egg count. However, it didn't work for me and I am now taking another drug (femara) that is working much better for me.

Re: Can someone explain to me how clomid works?
I had to take clomid, my doctor had told me it would probably take a couple of cycles to work but it worked the first time. We want to have another baby so I am going to be starting this process soon..
