Re: can someone help?
Our DJ has an online registration so we have 'must plays' 'do not play' and 'play if possible.' Then we also tell him what we want for the first dance, entrance, etc. He told us he could get it for us if he didn't have it, or we could give it to him.

You will eventually need to tell your DJ these things, but not typically when you first meet. Usually when you meet he/she will take info from you about your families, who is in the wedding party, are there parents, step parents, siblings, special occasions, etc.. He/she will also get an understanding of what you like and don't like. Probably if you go with this person they will send you off with a lot of forms and such to fill out to begin to decide what types of things you will and won't do during the reception (cake, BQ toss, etc) and what specific music you want at key times, and also in general. A good DJ will help and lead you to the answers and no - you shouldn't have to have all this information for the first meeting!
