I really don't know what to tell you except to def. go see a gyno. I'm not sure how old you are, but def. go just for your overall health not just this issue with your period

Re: Can someone help me out?????
I don't see any issues with only having your period for 5 days during a month. That is normal. And as for the light one it most likely is just the natural start of the cycle. I wouldn't be worried. BUT, I would definately recommend you see a gyno for your overall health.

I am not understanding you, you are doing the home pregnancy ? Are you talking about the Ovulaiton kits? And it says you are not ovulating yet? Did you have a period in February? If not, it sounds like you are very irregular.
You should go to the Dr and get checked out. Hope everything works out ok for you.

Re: Can someone help me out?????
You should really consider finding a Gynocologist and making annual appointments for your general health. This is very important for all women and since you have questions it's even more important.
You should have an annual pap smear, breast exam, etc. I started going when I was 18 so you may not be too far off but since you are concerned about TTC you need to get a doctor.
Is your wedding date in Jan 2005?

I don't mean to sound like the mother hen....but, go to the Gyno. I know it is a broken record....but, go for your overall health and to get info on TTC. Although you might get helpful info from us LIGals, its always best to consult with your doctor.

Well I am going to sound like even more of a mother hen and say to go see a gyno....ASAP........you are young, but that is no reason not to see one.........are you TTC?
eta - Your post is a bit confusing, having your period for 5 days a month is normal. Also having you period very light the first couple of days is normal also........what do u mean by doing 'home pregnancy'?

Correct me if I'm wrong but you had you period in January for 5 days you missed February all together and now you got it in march but it is light, and now you have done home pregnancy tests and it is saying you are not pregnant??? go to a GYN please it is for your best interest... I am not sure your age but many things happen as you get older so it is time to do a little preventative work. GOOD LUCK !

Re: Can someone help me out?????
Please please PLEASE go to a gyno.
I'm sure girls on here will give you excellent recommendations if you ask. There is probably even some posts already if you search.
I would receommend one, but I live in the Bronx and to be honest I'm looking to switch myself to another guy. He's nice but the office girls are rude and I always wait over 1 hour there to see him.
But you should start going for your yearly exam every year starting at 18.
It really isn't that bad, it isn't painful just a bit daunting. It's more like you feel a bit of pressure down there but literally - the exam is less than 5 minutes. They do a breast exam too. To me that is more painful becuase I am big on top and therefore the dr. pushes down more to see if he can feel any lumps. Ouchie!
But seriously it's for your own well being. And you can ask the gyno about your period too. I would not always trust home kits, they are good but always best to get a blood test if you really think you are pregnant.
Good luck Mary

if money or insurance is an issue, go to planned parenthood...they are so informative and money is on a sliding scale. but you MUST go to the doctor...
