Can someone help me out with Day Of logistics.

FH and I live in Brooklyn, my dress is being altered and pressed in Astoria. We will go to a hotel in NJ the day before the wedding. The photographer would like to take pictures of me in the reception hall's bridal suite with the picture of the dress hanging, etc.

I am trying to figure out how to move the dress from a)cleaner in Astoria to Brooklyn, then b)from Brooklyn to a Hotel and c)from Hotel to the reception site without creating an enourmous amount of wrinkles.

So far, I am preparing for the worst and looking to purchase a handheld steamer to get any wrinkles out at the last minute.

Any suggestions?

Maybe if you speak to the person doing the alterations they can wrap it in such a way that it is less likely to wrinkle. Is it a very wrinkly fabric?

do you have a car that has a back seat big enough to lay it down in? Thats how I brought mine to my moms house...to be quite honest...I think they just 'threw' it in the back of the limo on the way to the hall...I had no clue
