Can someone help me with direction/map inserts??!!!

I need to make direction/map inserts for my DIY invites but no matter how hard i try I can't seem to be able to do it! Can someone help me out??!! Is anyone able to do it for me? I don't seem to have the necessary programs to do it. Or can i do it on Microsoft Word?? I tried to follow the directions i found on theknot.com bio but it's not working. Help me please~!

I am doing the same thing now. I didn't use a map, I just used Word, made the margins very small, picked a nice font (10 point) and typed out the directions from CT, NY, LI and subway directions (our reception is in williamsburg). I did the same for the church. Then I copied and pasted it so that I would get about 3 per page and when I go back to work next week, I will cut them with the heavy duty paper cutter into cards.

I did the same 4 per page (church directions on one side, reception on the other)....It was a HUGE PIA and it's the DIY thing I was most proud of after it got done! GL! Wish I had more advice, I just messed around in Word until I got it right!

What I did was I scanned the map into the computer and wrote the rest out! I will post mine soon!

There is a program called Wedding Mapper that lets you create an online google map with markers...it's free...

I also found this Map Bio on the Knot that may be able to help you..

The Map Bio on the Knot is what i've been trying to use but i can't seem to right click on the map and save it. Does anyone know how to do that??

Are you using word or powerpoint?

If you're using powerpoint, you have to group your selection before you can save it as a picture. Select all of the components in your map by clicking (and holding down the left mouse button) outside of your map and dragging your mouse so that it creates a box over all the elements of your map and release the mouse button. Then, right click in the middle of your map and the 'Save as picture...' option should appear...
