Those are definitely BETTER districts. CSH is good and so is Great Neck.

Re: Can someone look at this map (Huntington)
kpny,
I am referring to the middle and high schools. I am certified 7 - 12 Math(well as of next Thursday I am done.) I don't know about the elementary schools at all.

Re: Can someone look at this map (Huntington)
Just my opinion from what I have heard from parents involved in different school districts, even 'good' districts (like Dix Hills) have problems in the schools. Maybe not as much or as extreme but these days, there are gangs, violence, and drugs EVERYWHERE.
I went to school in SD #5 (Dix Hills) and let me tell you, I have seen it all. In 9th grade there was a huge fight with all sorts of weapons (I'm talking at least 100 kids) after Comp Night, in the 10th grade I saw one girl light another girls hair on fire in the hallway, on numerous occasions I saw girls doing lines of coke off of the counters in the bathroom, and all sorts of drugs were rampant through out the whole school - and those are examples off of the top of my head. That's what happens in bedroom communities if you ask me. You have a lot of wealthy kids with a ton of free time and limited supervision. But there are benefits to living there. The schools are completely funded, you never have to worry about having an outdated textbook or not having enough microscopes to go around, and I never had to worry about passing any Regents because I knew I was over-prepared (as the teachers in the high school never let you forget). But would I have wanted to grow up anywhere else? Probably not. So when deciding on where to live, you have to think about the whole package.
