Can someone please explain Desperate Housewives last night?

Who was the guy who beat up Mike? Is he a cop? And what was the file that he gave Mike? His wife's homicide file? I guess she was the one whose bones were in the baby's toy chest?

The guy who beat him up was a cop, he was the cop that was paid off to drop Mike from Mrs. Hubers case after they found her jewelry in Mike's garage.

The bones in the toy chest were his old wifes. That was her file.

Ah ha! Ok, I must've missed an episode then - I don't remember that cop being paid off.

He is a weirdo, but imagine having a mom like that. He is totally evil, but his mom did tell him he was going to hell.

We didn't know about the cop until this episode, we just knew that the old guy told Mike that he 'took care of' getting Mike off about Mrs. Huber.

And I don't think Deirdre (the woman in the box) was Mike's wife - I think I remember them saying that even though he loved her he chose someone else.

I thought, as of last episode anyway (I missed last night's) - that the bones in the toy chest belonged to someone that came to take the dead woman's son/Dana away from them?

oh, so it was the guys daughter and Mikes wife? i guess i missed that part but now we know the connection to Paul Young because that was Dana's/Zack baby chest. Maybe another reason why Alice killed herself because Paul = evil

And I don't remember the blanket actually being pink.

Exactly. I think they probably kidnapped him. And fled...Changed their identities...And then when that social worker person came looking for the baby and them, she was killed...(Hence looping Mike --who was not married to her--into the mess...)

I felt bad for the kid. I mean I am sure all of our mothers have had moments where the have said mean stuff to us, but to tell a kid that he isn't going to heaven was heartbreaking to watch even if it was just TV. I can't wait to see the type of retaliation she gets.
