Can someone please explain this ridiculous logic? My one Bridezilla moment...

We are doing a backyard BBQ RD...either at my parents house or FBIL's. FBIL just sold thier house and are waiting for their new one to be built...no biggie, do it at my parents.

So why does FBIL's wife, who is NOT one of my favorite people, for the simple fact that she can be extremely spiteful and always find a way to turn things into being about HER, offer to hose a post-wedding brunch on Sunday...but in the same breath says the house wouldn't be ready for the RD? I don't care where we do it, its no skin off my back, but if the house isn't ready on Friday, how will it be ready on Sunday for a brunch?

FTR, I declined and will NOT be having a post-wedding brunch because we will be tired and want to relax with out OOT guests (FMIL, etc). I don't want MY wedding weekend to be a chance for her to show off her brand new house and make it all about HER.

Why can't things be easy???

I would just accept the offer but be sneaky and be like 'as long as you think the house will be ready for brunch on Sunday...' so that way she knows that you don't forget.

I'm sorry but I'm annoyed with RD situation and I can totally relate to the friggin headache you have!
