if you 'bump' a thread you are bringing it back up to the top of the page for someone.

when someone adds a post (like you just did) the rest shift down. 'bumping' a post will bring up to the top again.

My first few weeks on the site I thought it was brides getting very very excited and bumping up and down instead of jumping up and down.

I'm so naive.

But what it really means, is that someone is 'bumping' the thread up to the top of the list. Adding a message to it to bring it to the top where people can see it again and do thier replies.

find the post and reply or simply type 'bump' and it brings it back to the first page of the forum
