I was reading past posts about bachelorette places. Lips sounds fun but I don't exactly get it! Can anyone tell me the details of the place?

I went there for my friends bachlorette party. Its a restuarant where all the waitresses are transvestites and they do shows and sing and stuff while you eat and drink. Its cool. I heard Lucky Chengs is alot better though and has the same stuff.

I never went to LIPS but I did go to Lucky Chengs- It was a blast. I went with friends for a 30 surprise party for my friend's husband. It was hysterical. WE really had an awesome time.
Not sure what I am doing yet! Maybe Lucky Chengs and the Donkey show?!
I went to LIPS for my SIL's bachelorette party and our 'waitress' was named Peppermint. It was a lot of fun and so much nicer than the cliche strip club

I went to Lips for a bachelorette party a few years ago and it was fun. The food was good and the place was really fun. I have also been to Lucky Changs and it was horrible!!! The food is gross and they just bring plates of food to your table- you don't even get to pick. Plus- it was expensive and nobody even ate because the food was so bad! Keep in mind- I went to Lucky Changs about 4 years ago so maybe it has changed but I would never go there over Lips base on my experience.

I have been to Lucky Cheng's and thought it was hysterical. But I heard at Lips they are dressed up like celebs (Cher, etc) Is that true? Do they do the same type of show? What is the food like?

i don't know how it is now, but years ago the food was amazing at Lucky Cheng's - I organized a bachelorette for a friend and we did a family style dinner so it was price fixe except for drinks...I picked the food and thought the whole thing was alot of fun... everyone loved it...

Lips and Lucky Cheng's are both the same concept, tranvestites as waitresses, bartenders, and then they sing and have alittle show. Both places are fun. I went to Lips for my 'work' bachlorette party. Both places make a spectacle of the 'bride to be'. I would say that they are a good place to start off at and have a bite to eat and then go to a fun bar or club after...

Lips is next to one of my fav resturants......
Artepasta - soo good and not to expensive - you could go there for dinner and then go for drinks/show at Lips.

I have never been to Lips, but I went to a 30th birthday party last weekend and two of they had two 'girls' from Lips bartending at their house.. they were so funny!
