can someone tell me all they know about scrapbooking

is it expensive? do you think a scarpbook store can make 1500 dollars a day
? a friends is thinking about purchasing a scrapbook store and isnt really familar with it except that its fun and she is told that the business is doing really well. any help you can give would be appriciated

I think it is expensive. I started in Feb and in the first month spent so much on supplies. I have used Michael's for some stuff and a local scrapbook store. I think they do well, they have a great product line. But more then that they offer a ton of classes and are very helpful and knowledgeable. Some of the bigger, more expensive machines, they let you use and they will help you with layouts, etc. I think that is why they do so well - customer service. As I have been doing this, I realize how 'In' to this some people are - obsessed actually. I think they have a lot of loyal repeat customers. I went to a class and almost everyone knew one another from the store.

I LOVE Scrapbooking. I have heard that people have scrap book parties....whcih maybe something for your friend to look into as well. I think its so fun and great! Good Luck to your friend. I know I spend alot on supplies. There is such great stuff!

I wish your friend luck but i do not think that a scrapbook store will bring in $1500 a day...especially here in LI where its becoming a saturated market. There is alot of competition out there now...with Michaels and AC Moore not to mention the independant stores.

I'm not sure how those stores do. I've been scrapbooking since before it became a trend and I don't really go to the stores much. I may start, though.

I just started in the hobby - I'm starting to collect items for my wedding pictures - I want to scrapbook them. There are a lot of resources I've foudn recently, but I also want to go to a class just to pick up some pointers and learn how to use the machines

I love scrapbooking. I have been scrapping everything since I started. It can be really pricey depending on how crazy you go with templates scissors, albums. But if you look around for sales it is a lot cheaper. 50% off of all single sheet scrapbook paper @ AC moore in SMithtown.
