Ah, Forever Yours...love them! I'm sure the dress will fit your height perfectly...as for altering it, I doubt it since it's lace and beading. It's beautiful!

I think that they pull it up from the waist seam and then sew it there. So, in effect you're cutting the waist and not the hem.

you probably have to get a hollow to hem measurement and you need a professional seamstress to do this for you.

When you order the dress, ask them if they can take your hollow to hem measurements. I had a lot of beading on the bottom of my dress and also wondered how alterations would work. They take your measurement from your neck to your feet (you WILL need your bridal shoes) and they will make the dress according to your height.

This dress has an edge lace SO it can be taken off and put back on easily by a seamstress. It will not ruin the design.

Its that indent in your neck. They measure from where it ends. Kinda like where you shoulder blades would meet.

If it turns out to be a problem. A good friend of mine wore an Amsale dress that had a similar idea. It had lace panels and the rest was organza beautiful dress and I found a knock off of it at RK Bridal. Anyway, she is 4'9 so I know that dress can be altered without a problem. I'll see if I can find a picture.
