No, I think that is really rude

I don't understand why you would invite someone to the shower- which is usually a smaller, my intimate group- and not invite them to the wedding

But the other way around....just doesn't make sense.

Absolutely not, it's really in poor taste. And usually you don't invite all the women going to the wedding to the shower, just close friends and family.

If co-workers (whoever) want to throw a seperate shower for you, then they will.

I agree. You absolutely should not! It's very rude. I would be completely offended if I were invited to a shower and not the wedding. And I mean REALLY offended. I'd probably cut ties with that person. I'd rather they not invite me at all.

I agree with the other girls. It comes across as being good enough for the shower, but not good enough to attend the wedding.

The only people that we had at the shower, that were not at the wedding were two little girls of my neighbors, because they really really wanted to come to something and I wasn't budging on the wedding. I really think it is rude to invite a person to the shower and not the wedding. The shower is the pre-party to the wedding, preparing you for your wedding and future home!!
