...invite people to the Engagement Party that aren't invited to the wedding? Especially if its not as much an Eparty as it is a 'celebration' and an opportunity for people to meet FH and FSD?
TIA!

Re: Can you...
In my opinion only people who are invited to the wedding should be invited to the eparty. I would be offended if I was invited to an eparty then not the wedding. I would see it as if they only wanted a gift from me.

Re: Can you...
I think if they are invited to the engagement celebration they are going to assume that they will be invited to the wedding.
If you want them to come maybe you could be like 'Hey, we're having a BBQ at our house and FH will be there too, so you should come by and meet him'... make it seem like an ordinary BBQ and not a party

Re: Can you...
Everyone invited to the engagement party should be invited to the wedding imo. For my party it's only family really and some close friends, so there will be alot who are invited to the wedding that weren't invited to the engagement party.

Bad idea - if you invite them to the e-party they will assume they are invited to the wedding. I think this would be bad etiquette

Re: Can you...
I agree! and E-party invite = a wedding invite. If you want to have everyone meet each other then don't call it an e-party to anyone.

Re: Can you...
if you are having a small wedding and still want to grab everyone else to celebrate. just make it a bar night. so its just socializing. dont make it an engagement party. too formal and guests will assume they are invited.

Re: Can you...
IMA if you invite someone to the Eparty you should intive them to the wedding. But, this is your eparty and your wedding! If I was invited to the eparty I would assume I was invited ot the wedding and would prob be angry if i wasn't. On the other hand if I knew you were having a small wedding and wanted a big celebration for an eparty and i knew that before the eparty i would be 110% ok with it.

Re: Can you...
e-party=wedding invitation
i think there was another thread about this recently, for people who were invited but didnt attend the e-party, and then drifted apart, and i still think that they should get a wedding invite
