it's wood (looks marble i know), yes i have one more place in NC to call.

I have seen this before. It depends on the mfg of the furniture. Sometimes they will waive tax or shipping even though they can't go lower in the price of the product...but not always..

oh I thought the one you posted had marble on it.. we're interested in one that looks very similar with a marbletop..

believe it or not it comes from Vermont. I was stuck ordering it from Siegermens.

Some mfrs wont allow their products to be sold at certain type stores (discounters) or at certain prices. (you know how at TJMaxx or Century 21, you will see the words 'Private Label' or 'Brand Name' with the brand name scratched out. thats part of their contract. When I worked for Century, we sold TONS of RL Towels and were not allowed to show the brand name)
My bedroom was from Thomasville and there were NO Deals in NC (Although I have heard that people have gotten deals there. I think it was only if you actually WENT to the showroom, some places have that rule too )

then get it here, then you wont have to pay to ship it from NC
it was almost 300.00 shipping for my stanley bedroom set but the set was like almost 50 off so it was worth the fee

Jenn-Hi! Have you ever tried Direct Buy? Its like a membership club, but the prices are unreal-my cousin furnished her whole 6000sf house from there @ like 60% of retail. If you're going to have a whole house to buy for soon you might want to look into it. I think you can get a free preview pass so you can look at their stuff before you join-there's one on LI.
The set you picked is really pretty BTW.

Jenn this happened to me as well. It was Thomasville, which NC TRIED to tell me they could do better on price, but unfortunately Thomasville policy changed, but anyway, we would've saved on shipping, BUT I REALLY wanted my furniture

I searched for Bermex (the manufactuer of the table) plus North Carolina.

2 places came up. AH Wayside (i think is the name) and another place, i have the info home). I will search some more too and check out niecey's suggestion as well.

Anyone else know where I can get it?

Jenn, there is a NC furniture dealer near my house, he had really good prices. Also that website I sent you about UCC Total home, I could go and check out the price for you just give me all the info.
