Can you believe this!

I called the Church to speak to the lady in charge of the music, and told her the songs I want to use and she had the nerve to tell me one of the songs I want to use 'is too long and the priest won't wait for the song to be over, b/c he likes to RUSH!' We have to pay a $550 'donation' and they want to rush! I'm so annoyed! I put a call into the priest b/c I'm not asking for something so outragious I just want a specific song during flowers to the Blessed Mother.
Sorry girls I just had to vent

I never heard of 'rushed' ceremony. That's one way to make your wedding feel special in church. Unbelievable she actually told you that. I would have had a serious talk with her.

Wow, that sounds like BS to me. Hopefully she was just having a bad day and took it out on you and the priest will be more understanding.

With all the horror stories on the boards about what the church puts everyone through, they (the church) should consider themselves lucky people even want to get married there!!

Thanks girls.

I spoke to the priest today and he said that I can choose whichever song I want. He wanted to know the name of the song to check if it was okay to use in Church, but he said it was fine.

This music lady is unbelievable
She also told me if i am bringing an outside singer in that i have to pay her $75.00 cash so she can practice w/ her!
