can you believe this??? (vent...long)

I had a hair & make up trial w/ Pauline from special Touch... AFTER my trial she told me she may be going on vacation... she promised to call the following day to let me know and never called...
a few days later she had another make up artist call me...this new makeup lady said that Pauline was not available the day of my wedding b/c she had plans w/ her daughter... so she told me she was going on 'vacation' and then told this other woman she had 'plans w/ her daughter'... I don't even know why she had this other woman call me???
It was funny b/c before my trial Pauline told me she checked her schedule and my wedding date was open. After the trial, I was telling her that I didn't know how many of my BM would use her and that's when she got all weird and then pulled out the vacation excuse. She told me I had to 'make it worth her while' for her to come to my house the day of... and then I had to guarantee her other girls to get their hair and make up too...
why would she lie about that?
I am so upset by this.....

If it's her day off, she's probably trying to calculate 'how much' she needs to make off of your wedding in order for it to be 'worth it' for her to work.

A lot of hair dressers are like that. I never told my makeup artist until the bitter end that it was only going to be me and my mom...he kept asking and I kept saying, 'oh, I'm sure that the BMs will want to get their makeup done.'

and the funny thing is that she lives literally 3 minutes from me... so it would have been nothing for her to drive here...

she was so against working in a salon so I know it wasn't an issue of her day off... and during the trial she mentioned how she wasn't a greedy person.... how ironic?!?!?!?

even if she's against working in the salon, she'd still be physically working to do your wedding. So, to me, it sounds like it's either laziness or greed.

well I am glad I could offer the info...
I would let her know before the trial... I just got the impression that she really only wants to book when you have a big bridal party that all want hair & make up...
don't get me wrong...she does AWESOME work... but wont come to your house just for you...

hehehe...

my makeup artist didn't find out until he got there that it was only me and my mom. but, then I had him do my 11 year old niece. plus, we purchased products, fed him, and I gave him an extra $50
