I have a toothache... and all I can hear is my dentist's words from 3 years ago: 'you know when it's going to bother you? when you are 6 months pregnant and can't do anything about it!'
I think I've heard the answer is no but does that mean everything? I think I might need a root canal!!

My doctor said the dentist can use Lidocaine (sp?) instead of novacaine. When I was PG I was afraid of going and having anything done, so I didn't go. And after my PG I ended up with lots of cavities and a root canal! I hope you feel better!

Actually getting a cleaning during your pregnancy is very important! Gum disease can cause preterm labor.
Go to your dentist. He can help you figure this out. They deal with pregnant women all the time.

Yes - as a matter of fact I have been having a lot of work done lately! You just have to tell them you are preggo - but I'm sure with you it is obvious!

i had a tooth pulled early in the second trimester and he gave me novacaine and everything-- he said that NOT taking care of it would cause problems I would def call becuase Im sure they can do it if you need work.
