What about a theme. I saw in the Matha Stewart weddings, they had a pink shower, all of the food, rinks and decorations were pink. Are you haveing the shower at a home or at a restaurant?
You can also put on the invitation different times of the day that epople can buy gifts for, like stuff the bride would use in the am, lunch time, pm, or for different rooms of the house.

A theme is a great idea. There is a book that I bought (I do not have the name sorry) but the title is something like 'how to make a really great bridal shower' and the book talks about themes. Great ideas. I bought the book at Roosevelt Field Mall in Barnes and Nobles. Good luck

Not too original...but here goes...
Buy her a corsage of her favorite flower. Make her a bow hat or bouquet she can use at her rehearsal. Take a pic of the guest of honor with each guest and have 2 copies made of each picture...one to send to that guest. Pass around a pretty notebook and ask guests to write their 'Words of Wisdom' for the happy couple. Mail recipe cards to the guests and ask them to bring them to the shower to put in the recipe box.

Not sure my sis's shower was too creative- we did have paper placemats that I liked. I also played a lot of games. I made a poem that had a lot of fruits and vege's- like that one with different cleaners. Used that as the opener. I really think her shower was the best one I've been to. We also played pass the teddy and toss the Bo-K. I had the favors made from ebay- little kim anderson favor boxes, then I put hershey kisses in them.
