Honestly, I don't the photographer is that great. I've seen better work from other people.

it looks good to me! IMHO, i dont think it matters what others think. everyone has different opinions on photographers...some like more photojournalistic while others like traditional (this was a fight i had with FMIL). In the end it comes down to what you like.
Also, keep in mind that just bc that vendor may not be on here with a ton of recommendations or reviews, it doesnt mean they are bad. There are just so many vendors out there that they can not all be used and reviewd on here. if you met with them and they gave you reasonable pricing and you like the work then go for it!

I like these photos but I wouldn't pay for someone in VA to come down. I would find someone witht he same style nearby.

sorry, not impressed either! ![]()
some pics of the bride could have been taken closer, a lot of the pics seemed to be taken as if the photog was standing 900 feet away or something..plus some shots, can't tell whether they were meant to be artistic or not, but seemed like the camera was held at an angle and the people in the pic looked off-center somewhat... the pics aren't bad, but the person snapping them doesn't seem that seasoned... JMO

That's the thing, we wouldn't be paying her to come here, it's my sister's friend s we would be getting a really good deal and she would come here without charging us.

I like her pics, I think the quality is good and very reasonably priced. I just can't decide if I should pay so much more for another photog that may or may not be better.

I like the work. A factor that mattered to me was how I connected with the photog. Mine was calming and open (and I love her work). Go with what works best for you and FH. If $ is a factor and you like her work and her personality, I say go for it!
Remember also how hi-res photos are these days, so you can always edit and crop later.

There is nothing wrong with the pictures. You have to decide if you like the style of the photographer or not. I would ask to see pics from a single wedding since there were multiple weddings there with only a few from each (which out of 600 photos, 6 should be good if anybody shot it!). You might also want to meet with him in person to see if you get along. He will be following you around all day! If you can't stand him that would make your day sour.

I agree with previous poster that the only thing that matters is what you and FI think.
If you two like the pictures then that's all that matters. And if you're not 250% in love with them is the price your saving significant enough to make up for it?
I think they are decent and I love how vivid the colors are and the playfulness of their pictures.

thanks ladies! I too love the colors and the way they are shot. I think that as long as I tell them what I want, it should be fine! I will let you know what happens... more opinions would be appreciated!
