Hi Ladies- I got my dress from somewhere which isn't known for it's alterations. Can anyone recommend a place or seamstress I can bring my dress to for bustle and minor taking in? I'm not sure if you can bring it to another bridal shop which you didn't purchase it from..or is that a no no? TIA
I wouldn't suggest going to another bridal shop as it costs a pretty penny if you bring a dress that isn't from them. I'd suggest my seamstress in Coram, but I didn't have a bustle. My train was detachable, so I don't know how she actually does with bustles. I thought I had heard that people brought their gowns to Phyllis from Gownfind. Hopefully others will help you.
