Can you shorten a heel

Ladies!

Ok so those of you that love your designer shoes... can I shorten a 3 7/8' heel about 1/8' and not ruin the shoe? I used to be able to go out clubbin in that height but now... not so much!

Thoughts, advice? They are Bagdley shoes that I LOVE LOVE LOVE

I would check with your lcoal shoe repair person...or ask someone where you bought them...

i bought them through My Glass Slipper online...I wasnt sure if someone already tried to with a shoe.

Most good shoe repairs can cut a heel down.

There should be a guy in Midtown around 55th btwn 5th and 6th if I am not mistaken that I will try. Does anyone have anyone they reccomend to do this in Manhattan

I bought my shoe through MyGlassSlipper.com as well and want to cut my heal down, they actually recommended a guy in manhatten to me. I'm actually going to go see him in like 2 weeks. I had e-mailed him a pic of my shoe and everything and he said that he could definitely do it. I'm not home right now but I could send you all his info tomorrow.

u can shorten em, but idk if it'll be ok to walk with em... like would they be unstable?? id ask ur shoe repair guy

Please FM me who My Glass Slipper reccomends. I really really love the shoes, they match the dress perfectly!!
I look like a turd walking with them now and I'm afraid that i will fall with them on.

That would be a great way to walk down the aisle

Was there any change in the shoe's 'step'? Did they feel funny?

nope, like joanna said if the guy knows what he is doing then it feels and looks fine. they can only cut a certain amount off so the arch doesn't look funny.

as long as you have a good cobbler, it's definitely doable.

hey i shorten my heels all the time!! if you go to a good shoe repair store they will tell you exactly how much can be taken off so that it wont mess up the look of the shoe....
