I cancelled my original make up artist too. I sent her an email first and she didn't respond so I sent her a text asking her to confirm and she received it and she did and it was no big deal. I think this happens all the time

Do it as soon as possible, she will appreciate the time being open and available to another customer sooner than later. You don't need to explain yourself, just say you are cancelling the contract, you dont expect the deposit back and thank her for her time etc etc.
Keep it short and simple, but do it soon!

It's not bad - even 45 days out they can always use that day to book trials, or other brides who need a MUA for them or their bridal party last minute!

just liked another makeup artist more. I'm so picky about makeup since I wear it everyday.
