So I'm kind of torn about how much information to put on here about this...but I booked a vendor about a month ago. Not a very major vendor but without flat out saying it.. a vendor that helps a bride look like a bride. I don't want to offend anyone but I don't really know why I booked. Even when I left I wasn't crazy about it.
Has anyone canceled a vendor? How did you go about it? I signed a contract that says the deposit is nonrefundable but it doesn't say anything about what happens if you cancel.

Yikes.. I am assuming if the contract states the deposit is non-refundable then you will probably lose it. Honestly if I were in your shoes... I would cut my losses now. You really don't want to regret losing a little bit of money over looking your best 'bridal self' .
I am bummed I lost 100.00 on a hair trial that was horrible.. but what can ya do! better to know before the wedding day

You would just lose your deposit.
I think I would just email and say you are having second thoughts and would like to break the contract

If you aren't happy - I would cancel - as hard as it may be you want to be happy on your day.
If the deposit wasn't a huge amt. you really aren't losing out on much in the long run - you'll be happier later on.

maybe you can see if the vendor can apply your deposit to something else? like if for example it was a makeup artist, maybe they can let you apply it towards them doing your makeup for some other random time? (this of course assumes that you liked, but didn't LOVE them)

Thanks ladies... The deposit isn't much at all. I'm just hoping if I do cancel there's not anything more! The contract doesn't say anything so I'm hoping for the best.

As Judge Judy always says, 'If it isnt in the contract, it doesnt exsist' (or something to that effect)... cancel if you want something better!!!!!!!!
