A friend of mine is cancelling her wedding, for now. She just bought a new house and would like to be more financially stable before moving forward with her dream wedding.
Here is the question: I know that there is a law in suffolk that allows you to cancel your wedding if it is 6 months or more out without incurring penalites with your catering hall. Is there a similar law in Nassau?
Any help would be appreciated .

Re: Canceling wedding (not me)
No, Nassau does not have that law. You'd have to speak with the hall and see what they would be willing to do for you, if anything, otherwise find someone to take the date.

No there is no law. But I am sure they would be willing to work with her if she wants to switch to a later date.

You never know - some people might be interested in that RH and date. She may be able to find someone to take over her date and recoup her deposit / anything she's already paid if she asks around (or posts it here).
